Who we are
Our Story: How It All Began
In 2018 and 2019, Akic and Ocom embarked on a heartfelt journey by feeding people on the streets. With simple meals like egg mayo sandwiches and bread accompanied by a fresh glass of mixed juice, they reached out to those in need, sparking hope with every serving.
In 2020, just as we were preparing to officially launch our charity organization in Daleview – Despatch, the unforeseen arrival of COVID-19 forced us to press pause. The pandemic upended our plans, compelling us to adapt amid unprecedented global challenges.
Undeterred by the setbacks, in 2022 we reignited our mission. We began serving children and young people with nourishing meals: rice and mince, bread and mince, alongside mixed juice. Our weekly routine expanded to include freshly baked bread and a warming cup of vegetable soup, all prepared on the streets where they were needed most—at busy traffic lights intersections for unemployed people, street kids and homeless in the parks of Linton Grange, and in the Greenbushes area, especially for hungry children. We also distributed second-hand clothes, with special attention to the Daleview, – Reservoir Hills, Despatch community. These initiatives flourished from 2022 into 2023, touching countless lives.
In 2024, we refined our focus. Concentrating solely on donating food and clothes, we aimed to uplift poor families in underserved communities, with an exclusive emphasis on providing clothes to the Daleview, – Reservoir Hills, Despatch area. This commitment further cemented our role as a pillar of community support.
Now, in the month of June 2025, our vision has reached a new milestone. We officially opening our charity organization Head Office in Linton Grange and established a branch in Daleview – Despatch area. This expansion marks not only a new chapter in our journey but also a continuing promise of compassion, resilience, and community commitment.
We are a dedicated team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and youth to create a better future for them.
We started extending help to needy children and youth whom we see around us every day in the streets, and parks and visiting them in their homes for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that many such underprivileged children and youth needed help with food, clothes, shelter, skills, and education. We try to cover all possible areas and help as many children and youth as possible.
As we see there’s so much need out there, we want to run shelter homes for the homeless, provide education for the illiterate, and equip them with skills for those unemployed young people. We also want to have our helpline call center for Prayer and Counselling throughout the country so that those who have mental breakdowns, or suicidal thoughts can approach us anytime they need help.
